Busy bees!

I'm not sure if you can tell by the post or not but Cody and I are always doing something. We have to squeeze hours in here or there to see each other or appreciate each other. He works days and I work nights, so we do not even share the same sleeping time nor the same days off.

Last Wednesday picks up from the last blogs I will start there. Cody and I have joined a summer bowling league with my parents, and my mom and I alternate who bowls each week. With as much as I have been working she has been the one bowling, except for last week. Last week I bowled league for the first time in 3 years. I can't remember my scores but I set a 186 avg. Part of me wants it to go down the other part of me enjoys being a good bowler. Cody is at a 190 right now, he's normally pretty good : ). Not to mention its great family time.

Other than that during the week we both worked. I had some overtime again so I managed to leave a little early on Friday night to squeeze time with my husband! And lucky for me look what I came home to...

It was a much needed and appreciated surprise. Then even though we had drained the hot tub for the summer we couldn't resist refilling it. So instead of waiting hours for it to warm up we carried hot water from the sink to get it started. We spent a few great hours just talking and enjoying beer and wine. The plan was to watch tv but we had a lot to talk about I guess.

My love...

Saturday was pretty lame, we both worked and I had to go to bed early because of a big day Sunday.

Sunday I got up and went and got things for Hailey's bachelorette lunch. It ended up being kind of small and nothing raunchy but everyone needs a little something before they are hitched. I wish I would have had one thrown for me. Overall a good lunch!

My awesome mom came to help me! And always looking stylish...

Then since lunch was dismissed around 2pm and the sun was out I called and woke my grandma up and she came over to swim. I also had a phone call from my niece Alexa that morning asking she could stay the night, so she also came over at this time. Grandma, Alexa and me floated around the pool for a while and even grandpa joined us for a bit. Cody missed out he had to pull a midnight shift at work.

After grandparents left, Alexa and I surprised Cody with candy and soda at his work. Then we went home rented some movies, colored, built a tent, and ordered Pizza Hut! We had planned on getting in the hot tub but it was pretty hot for a 4 yr old, And Aunt Mal was exhausted from the day. She was a good kid though!

Monday I spent the day with grandma again. On my days off most people work including Cody and she also enjoys pool time just as much as I do. We enjoyed our ice cold beer, the sun, and the cool water. Then we went to their house and GPa waited on us hand and foot like always and served us fish tacos, our favorite!

Tuesday Cody and I slept in,cleaned the house, you know the boring stuff! But we Also managed to get a wedding gift,
And have sno cones! Yum was a nice treat on the patio before I had to run off to an 11 hr shift. That shift ended at 7am Wednesday morning, then at 8 am I had
an abdominal ultrasound, and them i had an upper gi tract procedures. Both very uncomfortable and I still don't have results. I got home around 10 and tried to sleep until 5. Then I had to meet the wedding party for manis and pedis!

Not going to lie, I enjoyed it!

Then I managed to squeeze in 20 min before leaving for work to go see my family at the bowling alley. Mainly just wanted to hold my little chunk!

I hate when two cameras are out
And you don't know which one to look at!! So we both look cross eyes, but either way I held my baby. She's holding her head up, and making cute baby noises!

Now back at work for another 12 : )

Going to be a big weekend with wedding
And father day.

Even though Cody And I are always busy we are blessed with some great family and friends.

Happy happy happy!

3 day weekend: Davis Wedding and Pool time!

Yes that's right I said I had a 3 day weekend. I worked 12's all last week so I could accomplish this!

Friday night I left work early since I was already into overtime. Cody and I spent the evening together chit chatting and hot tubbing!

Saturday morning was hard to wake up I managed to go visit my cousin at her new salon location on Austin ave.
Next door to my favorite place, sironia! Go visit salon savvy! We ate burritos from
Ranchitos off Waco dr and then she fixed my hair for the wedding.

When I got home I woke up my always sleepy husband and we decided to go out for a late lunch before getting ready for the wedding. Since I had a brunch earlier I was still full and let him pick
A place. He picked wise guys which is a mob like Chicago eatery. I was always scared about going because I hate hot dogs and Philly cheesesteak! I know
I'm weird. I also thought the place was a whole in the wall. When we got there
I was pleasantly surprised they had an amazing hamburger, great menu items, and a lot of cool flare. They also had a back room with tons of tables and room. Not too shabby! I stand corrected!

We then went to the dollar tree to pick up
some items I was sure I needed. This does not sound fun, however Cody usually refuses to do anything that requires shopping with me. This was a great outing for us.
And we not my niece this cute little swimsuit cuz I'm just sure shell be in the pool in no time!

After our shopping we went home to get ready for the big day. Finally it was 6pm, and we were ready to watch our cousin Amanda marry Skyler!

Before the wedding Cody and I had talked about all the weddings we have been to comparing the food and entertainment etc. Amanda's wedding was an all out success. She had the prettiest decorations, the best tasting BBQ ( seriously), and the cutest shot glass favors and unlimited supply of beer although we brought our own!

This was also an amazing time to catch up with our family. Tina and Dan which are Cody's aunt and uncle but they are my 2nd parents. And Tyler my brother! TJ couldn't make it : (. We also got to hang out with a ton of other family and of course grandma and grandpa.

After a long night of fun, dancing and clean up. We went to see a couple other old friends and our old spot oakleys!

Then it was home to watch the storm in the hot tub. Ok it was a little dangerous. But pretty cool experience!

Sunday I woke up and went and got gma so we could spend the day in the pool. We managed to talk grandpa into
Getting us river tubes and water shoes.
We had such a blast!

On Monday we did the same thing except we went to eat out first and shopping!

Both days the men had to work, but we enjoyed ourselves and got a good amount of sun!

Today Cody and I went out to eat and cleaned our house. It was back to work a
12 for me today!

Hope this will hold y'all over till next weeks bachelorette festivities!

Sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Friday morning around 3 am I began feeling sick, and have been fighting nausea for over two weeks now. When I got off at 8am I was still feeling sick but figured if I just went to sleep I would be fine when I woke. 3pm I wake up and My stomach is killing me, along with headache and extremely bad indigestion. I took what meds I could for it, and got a sandwich at schlotzkys, I are half of that sandwich and that was the only thing I managed to eat until Sunday night. Long story short it was so bad Saturday night I stayed up on the couch in a lot of pain and went to doctors office Saturday. Doctor said there some something wrong but he didn't have all the supplies on a Saturday to run test. He prescribed me high dose nausea and indigestion meds to take care of that and this week I have blood test, and ultra sound/ gi tract scheduled. Saturday night and Sunday stomach pain was still awful and had fever. Monday and today I have Ben feeling much better! Hoping we can find some answers though.

I had hoped to share with you exciting pictures as my child best friends baby shower was Sunday, and my other friends bridal shower was after it. I was suppose to help with both and was not able to attend. Jennifer and Hailey both deserve the best!

On Monday after my blood test since i was feeling much better I went to see
my sister and annabelle. I was able to feed her, burp her, and put her to sleep. She's adorable!

Later Brittany came buy with my niece and nephew. And our niece Makenzi insisted on staying the night with us so we let her. She is about to be 4!
So our night consisted of ordering pizza, watching scooby doo, trying on all of my shoes, saying crazy things and of course she had Cody and I make her a tent!

You would think after spending some time with them on Monday, and having Makenzi for almost 24 hours I would not want kids anymore, but all my nieces and nephews are so well behaved when I have them it just makes me want one!

I was also hoping to post some pics of my other nieces and nephews but we do not get to see them as much. Alexa had a t-ball game today that we were going to go see but it got rained out : (

Tornado season seems awful right, prayers for those it has affected and praying for the rest of us to miss them!

I will update as soon as possible if
I get results on what's been happening to
Me!

Thanks for reading Cody and Mallory outloud!

Just a pacifying post, until the next good one!!

I will not say this past week was not adventerous, but I did not get any good photos, or juicy stories to tell! That's the most interesting right? However last night a storm did blow through, so those of my out of state readers will now know that we are safe because I have a new blog entry = )!

Nothing happend last week per say. Then on sunday we had my Mom, and Cody's grandma over for mothers day. Brittiany and the kids joined us as well, and Tinsley came back home!

Food: Grandpa made us a nice ham with mashed pototoes! I purchased some cute cupcakes for the moms!
Presents: Along with the cupcakes above, I delivered a card and picture frame to cody's mom at her house. Then for my mom and grandma, they had a balloon tied to a tiki torch that i made for each of them out of wine bottles ( they are the cutest thing, but unfortunately I didnt take pics! They also got a candle wall decoration and cards!

We spent the day in the party pavillion with talk and laughter. After my parents left, brittiany and the kids, and I spent time in the pool, and the hot tub. Those of you who know "grandma" know the pool/hot tub is great for her back and legs, we were proud of her! Those who dont know here that's ok, she just struggles with pain a lot, so anytime we can get her motivated we get excited!

My cousin also graduated this day from high school, unfortuneatly we were not able to make it, but we are excited about him coming to Baylor in the Fall!

Monday I did chores and Cody worked, this is routine for us on mondays... boring! However when he got home we did have a steak dinner and watched the voice! We are rooting for our home town girl Holly Tucker!

Tuesday I litterally spent all day curled up and read a whole book. I needed the relaxing, I dont believe I have ever wasted a day like that. I'm not sure about cody but I personally get stressed with making sure things are going as planned in our everyday life, but also stressing about the things we have not accomplished yet, one subject in paticular, babies! I don't really bring this up often to distant family, and I'm sure all of you wonder, when we're going to spark that news to ya! But nothing yet = / So anyways, with all that on my plate, a book day was rejuvenating.

Today were the storms, we had some storms but nothing too crazy. However send prayers to Grandbury, TX, they had tornados and some reported fatalities.

Oh and for thoses following my weight loss progression on facebook, I havent weighed in a while so I am unsure if I am down anymore, however last week I quit sodas, so this should give me a great advantage, as soon as I have some results I will post them.

Also hands down for Cody, Yesterday marked 1 month nicotine free! I swear there are sunflower seeds in every trash can of the house, but I can deal with that for now ; )

Lots of love from Waco, TX!

Cinco De Birthday!

Sunday May 5, also known as Cinco de Mayo, we had a celebration at our place for our friend Ashli's Birthday. Cody and I enjoy seeing our friends, but most of all we love entertaining. We had over what I like to call our couples group, because mostly everyone is paired, we have a few singles but thats ok =). The total head count I believe was 13!

The day started with me getting about 5 hours of sleep because of working the night before, I got up and cleaned and got ready for the party. Brittany Cox ( Cody's cousin, and a close friend of mine) came over with her two kids to visit and pick up Tinsley, our mini Schnauzer. She is going to keep them company in their new house in the country.

When they were ready to leave, my spoiled neice Makenzi was insistent on staying with Cody and I, so we let her for a little while. The minute she got back in the house it was " Mowri I'm hungry, will you cook me eggs?" Even though I loathe eggs for some reason, I made them for her, and she was a great help setting for the party.

Once everyone arrived, the day started off with pool time with Alexi ( Ashli and Weston's daughter). No one else would bare the 50 something degree water. But we had fun!
While the girls were talking and doing girl like things, the boys did cook our fajitas, but they also decided it would be fun to play with guns in the backyard. No worries no one was harmed in this agressive looking hunt! They were using an pellet air rifle or something like that. It kept them occupied for a while anyways.

To the left are Cody, Weston, Pate, & Jason looking for something, no idea what. Duke joined them. To the right is David Pate.
Shortly after we enjoyed our cinco de mayo theme, with fajitas and margaritas! And an awesome birthday cake, made by Joey! During this time we also had Dulci and Moxie join us!

After Dinner, Hailey and Kyle, another one of the couples finally showed up! They came with nachos and tons of love, we've missed them! The evening ended up with a nice bonfire in our new fire pit that we built, and lots of laughs!

The after after party got a little crazy! Hot tub time!

Overall I would say Ashli's 24th Birthday was a success!

Meet Moxie, future vet!

All kids love treadmills! And I love all kids clearly!

First Entry!

I enjoy reading a few of my friends blogs, even though I will never be that interesting of a writer, I thought some of our family would love to read what is going on with us. So we will trying Blogging!

April showers are suppose to bring May flowers. Last month we were lacking the showers here in Texas, however we were bombarded with several unfortunate events.

As the entire world knows by now, We had a tragic event in a town 20 miles north of us in West. I was dispatching that night, and ending up pulling a 12 hour shift making for a very long night. I also lost a friend in the disaster. Cyrus Reed, Abbot VFD Captain. Not to be too light on this subject, but its been widely covered, and embedded in our heads the last month it just seems redundant when typing about it.Things are going as good as can be expected, and lot of good things are happening here in Central Texas for the community to recover!

A few days after the West incident, we were blessed with our first baby ever on my side of the family. On Saturday April 20, 2013, I personally helped deliver Annabelle Marie, my sisters first child. I am one proud Aunt. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 18.5 inches long. Alicia did an amazing job that day. Unfortunately we then faced more heart ache. Annabelle was sent to NICU immediately after delivery and remained their for 10 days because of respitory issues. She was released this past tuesday, mommy and baby are doing great. I had the pleasure of spending the day with them on Tuesday.

April 21, 2013, one day later and still the same week of West. It was mine and Cody's first year anniversary. Our original plan was dinner with family, and to stay in the same hotel room we stayed at for our honey moon. Things never go as planned. Cody and I slept in a little as we were in the hospital late the night before, and we decided we were hungry right then. We headed to Quaker steak and lube since we had never tryed it before. I was content with a large beer that day, and Cody decided to make our anniversary memorable by winning me a bumper sticker doing the atomic wing challenge. Now that is the redneck way! P.S. They were disgusting!  I then decided that I wanted to go bowling. As most of you know, bowling is our thing, Cody and I met the first time at around 10-12 years of age in a Youth bowling league, and was very much part of our first year together as a couple. I have not bowled since our last trip to Reno in 2011. So we invited one of our bowling friends, headed to the lanes, and I kicked some butt, with a 600 series = ) Cody did well too, but he bowls every week.

Since the wings did not fill us up at all we decided for dinner that we would make our own Shogun experience at home, with steak, sushi, scallops and wine! So to HEB and home we went. When we got home we had cody's grandparents over for a couple of drinks just to share the day with them. ( We wish mine could have been there but they had a lot going on in the hospital with my sister) We also cut into our year old cake ( the pics got lost in my old phone = ( ) After they left we unwinded in our hot tub that is finally fixed and had our amazing dinner!

Sometime in that week, Cody and I also got new Iphone 5s. So feel free to facetime us! I also have a new number so contact him, if you are unsure of mine.

Not sure the dates, but the other days of the month if we were not working ( which we do a lot of ), or going to school we spent with a group of our friends, or fixing our yard! Below are some new pics of our yard, and I also made us a Garden.

I finished the semester with good grades! Cody starts college in the fall, and I have two semesters left until I finish with my bachelors. Right now were are just ready for the summer break though!

Last year was a first of many things in our first year of marriage. This year we hope to share with you by blogging, and by creating many first. So hang on for the ride!

Let me squeeze this in there, for those who don't already know. Meet Remington AKA "Remi" our new weimaraner. We are training her for retrieving dove!
